Dr. O’Keefe Explains How Chiropractic Care is Safe

Written By O'Keefe Chiropractic Center on September 29, 2023

Chiropractic Safety

Many prospective patients feel leery of chiropractic care due to hearing about chiropractic horror stories and other misleading information. Dr. O’Keefe here at O’Keefe Chiropractic Clinic in Medford, NJ—who was named South Jersey top Physician from 2013 through 2022—shares helpful information on how chiropractic care is one of the safest medical treatments you can receive.

A Strong Chiropractic Background

Chiropractors undergo a lot of college education and training before they’re allowed to take a board exam for certification. Dr. O'Keefe has gone above and beyond the extensive requirements. He graduated from Rutgers University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.

He holds diplomat status with the American Academy of Pain Management and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, is a member of the American Chiropractic Association Council on Sports Injuries and Physical Fitness, and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association Committee for the development of chiropractic guidelines and standards of care for treatment.

Applying the Right Chiropractic Treatment

Our chiropractors do their due diligence before performing any kind of medical care because we aim to match what your unique body needs and no one else’s. We provide referrals as needed and have maintained a high success rate in patient recovery for the duration of our chiropractors’ careers. This means we don’t just adjust spines. Other treatments include:

  • DTS Spinal Decompression
  • Spinal manipulation
  • Acupuncture Therapy
  • ART (Active Release Technique)
  • Ultrasound therapy
  • Electrotherapy
  • Laser therapy
  • Ice therapy
  • Heat therapy
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Lifestyle and nutritional counseling

Based on your health goals and needs, we’ll go over your options so you can make an informed decision and be a part of the healing process. We’re happy to answer all your questions and help you feel safe in our office.
